Where to Buy Cigarettes in Prince Edward Island?
We know the struggle, in 2026 there’s not as many local options when it comes to buying cigarettes in PEI. Selection is limited, prices are high, and there are little to no on-reserve retail smoke shops. That’s why PEI smokers are choosing Smokeway — Canada’s best online store for native cigarettes in 2026.
Here’s What the Location Doesn’t Offer:
- No nearby First Nations reserves with smoke shops;
- No native tobacco stores;
- No duty-free border options (unless you drive for hours).
And Here’s the Smokeway Solution:
- All native cigarette brands like Canadian Classics, BB, and Rolled Gold;
- Direct-from-the-factory fresh tobacco;
- Shipping to all of PEI — discreetly and securely;
- No hidden taxes or inflated retail markups.
Stop overpaying at corner stores. Order online in under 2 minutes — and let us deliver your smokes to you.
Smoking and Tobacco Laws in Prince Edward Island
Native cigarettes are legal to purchase and possess in PEI, but all tobacco use is regulated by The Tobacco and Electronic Smoking Device Sales and Access Act.
You cannot smoke in or near:
- Public buildings (including entrances and patios);
- Restaurants, bars, retail spaces;
- Cars with passengers under 19 (note — not 16, but 19 years old);
- Outdoor areas where children gather (like playgrounds or school zones);
- Healthcare facilities (within 4 metres of entrance).
It’s best to avoid breaking the local regulations, as penalties are harsh:
- Smoking in restricted areas — up to $2,000;
- Supplying tobacco to a minor — up to $5,000.
Also, as of 2026, you must be at least 21 years old to buy tobacco products in PEI — it’s the highest minimum smoking age in Canada now.
